    Day 7: Noboribetsu

    Day at leisure for you to enjoy the onsen facilities at your hotel or explore Noboribetsu. A ten-minute walk from your hotel will take you to the famous Hell Valley, where you can see sulphur fume fissures from the valley. A five-minute walk will take you to the Aerial Tramway, a cable which take you to the Bear Mountain and a Bear nursery where 200 bears are kept. You can watch a bear show and a duck race. Next to the Bear Park is the Yukara Village where you can learn about the life styles of the Ainu, the original inhabitants of Hokkaido.     Day free for you to explore Hakodate at your own pace. Public transportation in Hakodate is very convenient. the bustling Morning Market is within walking distance from your hotel. Get a 1-day pass of buses and street cars for JPY1000 and start your exploration from Hakodate station: take the shuttle bus to the Goryokaku Tower and Hakodate Museum of Art. From the Goryokaku Koen-Mae Station, take the street car to Jyujigai station where you can walk to the cable car station for Mount Hakodate. From Jyuigai station, take the street car to Suehiro-Cho stop where you can visit the beautiful Motomachi Park, the historic old British Consulate, and the Russian Orthodox Church. From Motomachi, you can take the street car to your hotel or take a stroll (about 30 minutes). (B)
