Te Puia is comprised of a geothermal village and a Maori culture center with an Arts and Crafts Institute. One of the major attractions is the Pohutu Geyser, which erupts up to a height of 20 meters. There is also a Maori cultural performance, you can enjoy some Maori songs and dances and the famous haka. The Maori Arts and Crafts Institute consists of a replica of a Maori Village where you can observe some Maori traditional crafts and weaving skills.
The Paradise Valley Springs is originally a trout sanctuary that opened in 1939. Over the past 5 decades, it developed into a wildlife park. You can have a close encounter with the animals, such as trout feeding, and hand feed farm animals such as alpacas, donkeys, and sheep. One of the highlights is lion feeding, you can also pat a lion cub.
The Agrodome is a working sheep and cattle farm with 1,200 sheep and 120 beef cattle and a woolen mill. The sheep show highlights 19 breeds of sheep and a demonstration of sheep auction and sheep shearing. The woolen mill shows how wool from the sheep becomes yarn and a demonstration of hand-knit woolen garments. There are also orchards of apple, mandarin oranges, olive and kiwi fruit.
